The arm is fixed in a fixed position, but in the fixed position there is quite a large range of motion

Feet too shaky! It's not my skill either, the mount locks into place, but there's quite a bit of range of motion in the locked position. My legs were only 26.5 inches long so not too long. I suppose the longer the leg the less stability so this mount could work on a half decent coffee table but no more than that. Too bad I didn't start my project sooner so I could return it.
