Review on URO Parts 210 827 0031KIT Roof Antenna Upgrade (Including Antenna Tip & Gasket) by Casey Yuh

I removed and replaced the stock antenna tip and gasket on my 2000 Mercedes C230 compressor with this URO kit. Installation isn't difficult, but there are a few things you should pay attention to. First you need to loosen the antenna mounting screw. My screw is a 3/32" hex, not a torx. I used a hex T handle. Loosen the screw but do not pull it out completely. There are two phenolic insulating washers and a screw o-ring. around the screw cap. If you pull the screw all the way out you risk losing the washers. I used Armor All to clean the old gasket material from the car's lid and roof. Some people have difficulty installing the antenna. lace in the cap. It is designed for a snug fit. I gently sprayed Armor All onto the tip of the antenna, then pushed, pulled, and twisted. Armor All acted like a lubricant and made installation easier. This will also protect the antenna's rubber tip and cover seal.
