CUSHIONS NEED DEFLATION IF THE CUSHIONS HAVE BEEN HARDLY WORN. Worn: Bought a very expensive Trek with it for my wife 3 years ago. Apart from regular cleaning and lubrication, Shimano simply does not require any work. You just need to use any Shimano Deore, XT or XTR and not spend time fixing bikes regularly.
