Wrong fitment Factory direct

Not sure if my product is defective but the starter worked fine on the Sea Doo for the first few consecutive starts then starter failed after that took it on the bench out to check it and nothing, i decided to open it and not return it and the sleeve that pushes is inserted from the back to the front
