Hope this helps someone. I love this set! The hardware is very well made and unbeatable at this price! Had I had this information before building my door, I might have designed it a little differently. The screw pattern in the track is factory centered 14", typical wall studs are 16", so in most cases you will need to hang the ledger behind the track. It adds a lot of power to the system, and I personally like the look and feel of the Ledger, so it doesn't matter. BUT like most people who buy this kit, I'm replacing the style of an existing door so the door frame has a standard 1/2 inch or so overhang. Well, I built my door from 1 x 10 molded panels using 1 x 4 pine boards that together are about 2 inches thick. The latch pushes the finished product away from the door frame by about the same width as the latch! Since I used this for the guest bathroom on our first floor I can't leave a gap in the doorway. Luckily I had spacers on hand to get the door back where I needed it. I don't care, I still like how it turned out, but this small error could have been caused by the manufacturer changing the design a bit or by using something different to build my door. I definitely think the hardware won't have a problem with heavier weight. hope this helps someone. God bless
