Bought these for my first mountaineering trip and I'm blown away. I've waded (no kidding) through 2 to 4 foot snowdrifts and pointed the snow at a high mountain lake and it has kept my boots and feet dry and protected for several days. Even after many, and I mean MANY, falls and slips in deeper snow/melt and even river crossings, my boots and I were cool and dry. I used the sizing chart listed on the OR website and they fit my feet like a premium glove. They are not loose and baggy like the cheaper leggings, they are snug fitting and secure. Before buying, I watched a review of ALindsu on YouTube, which described that their design had not changed at all over the past 20 years, only the materials were updated. Now I understand why. If you're looking for gaiters, these are for serious backcountry adventures and totally worth the premium price.
