Thick Mylar Bags for 5 Gallon Buckets

The first thing that struck me was how thick these bags are. Since I've only stored things in them, I don't know how well they'll do their job, but their weight put my mind at ease. When I put them in a 5 gallon bucket, I noticed, as another reviewer noted, that they seemed a bit smaller than a 5 gallon bucket. Since they are cut along the bottom, it was of course not easy to pack them in a bucket and prepare them for filling. The excess material and thickness of the pockets has caused them to bunch up, but there's nothing you can do about it. I was expecting to be able to fold the extra length of mylar over the rim of the bucket so I could fill it easily, but due to the width of the bag this wasn't possible. I could fold it but it would be ruined. So all I had to do was pour the items out with one hand while holding the bag open until I had enough in there to tap the bucket up and down a few times to disperse the items. The pouch then opened well enough to complete the filling. There will be no problems with my temperature-controlled straightening iron. I would buy again.
