I don't write many reviews but I'm about to order a second set of these tires for my pontoon trailer so thought they were a few words value. The boat is in port so the trailer is uncovered at the last spot on the gravel pad. On the one hand, nothing protects from the weather, on the other hand, a large tourist trailer protects. This location is blown by the North Texas wind and the open side faces south and the sun shines all day. I bought my original set in autumn 2017. They appeared thin but were very easy to put on (this is an empty boat trailer). , after all! I can see where straps can cause problems for other purposes). The bindings are in good condition considering the exposure and the price. I check the trailer at least twice a month. Since putting them on, I've had a lid blown off once in 70+ mph wind gusts. The covers on the exposed side started to wear out in June 2018 and from October 2018 they started to wear out more noticeably. In February 2019 they expired. The covers on most of the protected side were still in excellent condition showing minimal signs of wear. I moved them to the unprotected side and they still look good. I will continue to use the remaining originals as new ones become available so I have 2 cases on hand if the old ones fail. I spend maybe even 2 minutes 4 times a year flipping the lids between protected and unprotected sides. For my storage conditions and this price, these cases have exceeded my expectations - and I don't mind changing 2 cases every 1.5-2 years.
