Review on Slippery Pete Cartridges Flexible Extension by Roberto Strumer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The first impression is favorable. Not in the long term.

[Original 3 star rating downgraded to 1 star after more experience - see edit below] Looks like a decent inexpensive grease gun. It's not the best, but it's ok. You must be very careful when loading, as the handle can pop out of its recess and the lubricant will spill out of the tube. You don't have to hit the handle. All you have to do is hit the grease gun lightly. This will not loosen the Zerk fitting. I had to move it all the way to one side so it was at an angle and then pry it off with two screwdrivers, one on each side. THEN he withdrew. I do not regret the purchase because it serves its purpose and is inexpensive. For the occasional user, it's okay to have two flathead screwdrivers handy when using. If you need a grease gun for frequent use, go ahead. [EDIT] Today (January 9, 2020) I finally got so fed up with this thing that I threw it in the trash. AGAIN when attempting to load a new tube, the piston jumped out of its "fixed position" and smeared grease everywhere. The first time this happened I attributed it to user error. But it happened on almost every reboot. The thing latches so badly that just about any little bump will kick it out and the spring will do the rest. It's extremely difficult to keep this thing steady enough to successfully reload. I've spent more on a burst grease hose than a grease gun. And I'm also tired of having to remove it from every Zerk customization. I'm done with this thing.
