Just a tip for those installing the switch, in the picture the protrusion of the long plastic rod is on the outside of the gold item, however for the part to work it must be on the inside be. When I received the part I'm not sure how it was but the gold part fell out and I put it back as in the picture. The car would not start and it was only when I looked at the other photos of the ignition switch that I realized the part itself was misassembled. I've provided an image of what the switch should look like if I don't explain properly. This worked great after I put the lip of the bar in the gold piece, just stick it in there in case anyone has problems like mine!
