Does not fit Jeep Liberty 03

This thing will make a beginner jump! There are no instructions at all, comes in pieces, doesn't fit properly and is the best quality and the clearest thing in the box is a liability/disclaimer card so you know if you kill or maim yourself there through no fault of your own it isn't one either Blame it was done wrong or not working properly. When is it common to modify a "perfect fit" part after purchase and before installation?

A simple solution! - Switch and Relay

You can imagine my surprise when I tried to turn on the ignition on my 2007 Jeep Liberty and nothing happened. Less than a month before the switch failed while towing a boat down a busy street I immediately thought it was a related issue. I towed the Jeep and checked the battery, it was charged. Finally I opened one of the relays and jumped over it. The starter turned and I confirmed it was the ignition. I immediately ordered a replacement and it arrived a few days later. Installation wasโ€ฆ

Doesn't quite fit 2003 TJ oob

If like me you're trying to save money this will work, but the metal shaft (the part that's broken if you're looking for it) is too big for the rotary ignition switch that the he has to get in. You need to sand it down and use sandpaper to smooth it out. After that, you may have problems with the steering wheel lock. I'm not sure if I assembled this part incorrectly or if it doesn't quite fit. The obvious solution would be to use the locking part from the old block. They seem to be handledโ€ฆ

Worked great but no instructions

Works great, problem with replacement. There is no really good guide anywhere and it is difficult to get this properly lined up in the ignition and key cylinder. Our 2006 Wrangler now has the key chime when we open the door because one of those three is slightly out of position and the key eject button on the key eject is no longer needed when the key is ejected. I just wish there were clearer instructions as it came with several different nibs, but I had to guess which one to use.

The picture is wrong

Just a tip for those installing the switch, in the picture the protrusion of the long plastic rod is on the outside of the gold item, however for the part to work it must be on the inside be. When I received the part I'm not sure how it was but the gold part fell out and I put it back as in the picture. The car would not start and it was only when I looked at the other photos of the ignition switch that I realized the part itself was misassembled. I've provided an image of what the switchโ€ฆ

Fixes the ignition, plastic is cheap.

Mama's PT Cruiser Fire went out while being treated for cancer at the hospital. After taking her home and towing the car, I found that was the problem. I ordered this kit, was going to install it and the plastic part broke. Thankfully, it's not this one that breaks, but the forks on either side of the bolt. I used a new metal part with an old plastic part and repaired the car. Please note that there are no instructions for this and none of the videos I've watched mention the small oval piece of
