Full disclosure. I bought these legs from another seller. But for 6 months I could not use them. Below is an email I wrote to Rhino Rack expressing my concerns: Hello, I purchased a set of 4 SX Legs and 2 Vortex Aero Crossbars for my 2016 Toyota Rav4 from DELETED. I was able to assemble and overwinter them in October with reasonable effort. I attempted to reinstall the rack system today with no success on the rear rack legs. I disassembled the legs and noticed that the captive nuts that create the clamping force had come loose from the drive bolts. See the picture below. No way would the bolts tighten the nuts. There is no physical stop on the screw to prevent this. I am a design engineer with 35 years of experience and am wondering how this design with such a known defect was released for sale. the physical way they know when to stop. If you don't stop, the pressure wedge moves into the rail channel. As a solution, I tried deforming the first few threads on the screws with a vise. Unfortunately, the clips no longer spread enough to release the roof rails. This renders the entire shelving system unusable. My note: I currently have a $380 investment (including rods) that has NEVER been used and will most likely never be used.
