I used it to connect a USB drive and external WD Elements portable drives. Powered by a 120V adapter. It couldn't handle more than one WD and one flash drive at a time. It didn't recognize anything I added. I've tried a number of combinations, different USB ports on my computer, etc. Nothing helped. After 12 months, 3 out of 4 ports were completely out of service and the remaining port was virtually unusable. I have a second device in my office and it works better, only 1 out of 4 ports has failed completely (although it also has the same concurrent drive limit). I've found that most USB hubs I've used in the past fail after about a year. What's wrong with this technique?
