Problem one: I don't know what the backlight looks like, I didn't connect it after reading how bright it is. I don't want a headlight to come on when I'm driving at night, so I replaced the clock that was too bright with this one. It would be nice if it had a dimmable backlight, but the LEDs don't dim, so there's no backlight. Problem two: My biggest complaint is the documentation, or lack thereof. It comes with no documentation, just a website and a QR code. A product number is required to search the website/QR. There were four numbers between the box and the tag on the watch, none of which worked on the VDO/Continental website. So unless you want to play with them to understand how they work (quite simply), this watch isn't for you.
