The device looks solid and is easy to assemble. I had an issue where the screws holding the monitor (through the plate) to the mount were already in the mount and had to be removed for mounting. The tops of the screws (all 4) were twisted so I had to use pliers to remove the screws to install the brackets. Removing the screws damaged the threads on the holes and the original screws would not thread easily back into the holes. Luckily I had screws from another stand and used those instead. If it weren't for the screw problem, I would have given it 5 stars. Anyway I don't have 4 mounting screws because they are damaged. Edit: Apparently thumbscrews are designed so that you mount the monitor arm ABOVE the screw head, install the knurled knob, and use a small screw to secure the knob. This is a design flaw as it completely defeats the purpose of the knob/thumbscrew. You cannot remove the monitor/arm from the stand without removing the screw (that secures the arm) with a screwdriver.
