Boombox TV DVD Radio Combo exceeded all expectations. Users must be reminded to read the instructions. Please note that after inserting all 8 batteries (size C), the device must be switched off using the power cable on the back of the device. Likewise! There is an on/off switch on the back of the device. The supplied TV antenna must be fitted by first removing the small round plastic cover onto which the metal part can be screwed and then extended. To view the actual TV signal strength, press the Display/Info button and the signal strength will be displayed. Be careful with the expanding metal antenna, which is very thin and can bend easily. The picture is excellent and set to the best settings by the manufacturer. The DVD can be started by pressing the button in the upper left corner of the device or on the remote control. RED button on the top left labeled MODE. The DVD works well and loads directly from the user with the disc correctly aligned with the laser disc reader. Use the navigation buttons on the remote control to fast forward and rewind. Yet again. all of this is clearly explained in the enclosed operating instructions. As with RADIO - once you've selected the right mode or source, the unit has a switch for AM/FM and a dial for fine-tuning stations. The factory-installed INTEGRATED antenna is the antenna for the radio. Radio. Do not confuse and do not use for TV reception. Overall, the device offers a wide range of entertainment sources. Some will not like that the TV screen is in a 'fixed position' that may not be at eye level or in line with the user's view. I support my device at eye level, or some place the device on a surface at eye level. But don't let that be a reason not to watch TV/DVD. Enjoy!
