I was very impressed with the knife packaging from the start - a hard plastic case that you can reuse to store your bit . This is definitely an improvement over the disposable blister packs that my Freud bits came in. However, when I took the racket out of the packaging, I was a bit disappointed with the workmanship. The orange paint has spattered a bit on the blades, and the 3/4 inch diameter head (the part where the carbide blades are welded) has a slight gouge along the edge. With the blades welded on, the first thing I did was use the mallet to cut a piece of plywood flush with another piece of plywood. This worked fine, but the edges were rougher than the edges my Freud bits produced with the same plywood. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed. I only have 3 Freud pieces at the time of writing this review and I usually try not to be too brand loyal (although I will avoid the company's products). if I have had bad experiences with this brand). Since it's a really long drill bit, I also tried using it to connect the narrow edges of some 2x4s on my router table. I need to work on my technique and get side extensions for my router table if I want to produce boards straight. I like: * Nice packaging (hard, reusable plastic sleeve - as opposed to the disposable blister packs my Freuds come in) * Works well What I don't like: * Doesn't look as sharp as my Freuds * The finish on the bit itself was a bit rough. В будущем я, вероятно, выберу Freud, а не CMT, если цены будут в пределах 5 долларов или около того, но я мог бы снова купить биту CMT, если разница в цене будет больше или если у меня будет больше положительный опыт с этим дальше in the future.
