Compared to the original APEC filter, it is slightly different. After installation the TDS is 59. I drain the water for about 5 minutes, the TDS drops to 30. That's better than the 2 year old APEC filter which has a TDS of 56 out of 23. Tap water has a TDS of 375, so efficiency drops to 85%. I can wait another six months before replacing it. But this filter is very cheap, 33% APEC filter, it doesn't cost that much to replace the filter.
