This setup was for a 30ft RV trailer. The RV already had a pre-wired connection for a backup system, which the dealer wanted to sell and install for much more than the unit was worth. The camera is quite solid and comes in a heavy plastic case with an overhanging rain skirt. The camera came with plenty of cables to connect even the faintest light source in the trailer. However, since we already had the wire in the right place on the top edge of the pendant, we cut most of it off and only used about 8 inches. I soldered the included wires to the pre-wired area and also used heat shrink tubing as I believe this camera will be good over the long term and won't need to be fiddled with. The picture is very wide and there is a fisheye effect, but that's not too bad. The image sharpness is very good, details are clear. My friend in the video is at least 30 feet from the camera, which is about 10 feet high. The kit includes almost everything you need for installation except the tools. An RTV silicone hose would have been a good idea as there were two existing holes in the RV that were not used but needed filling. Where the cables went into the trailer, silicone also went in. In order to mount the camera on the outside wall of the camper, I had to use two separate mounts. The U-Bracket only allows you to mount it on a horizontal surface as the antenna will get in the way if you try to mount it on a vertical part. It could probably be a simple design change, or you could just use two brackets like I did. Once installed, the camera feels pretty solid. Inside: The monitor/receiver is VERY easy to install and use. Simply turn on the running lights on the RV that powered the camera, then press the red button on the 12v adapter. Everything fits together with no fuss. One of the users watched the video on the display while the other adjusted the angle of the camera. The screws on the camera adjuster were tightened and that was it. The on-screen controls allow you to turn on the park lines, control contrast/brightness, and manipulate the image in terms of reflection or reflection. Turns out we decided to flip it right to left since it looked like a regular car mirror. Good build quality, easy installation and very strong signal. The instructions were in Chinese/English but not as bad as some of them. was used. I emailed the support team and received a response within 12 hours.
