Two bike lifts arrived and are operational in about an hour! Space is very important to us, and our bikes took up most of the covered porch. I have read reviews of several products and this seems to be the best. I have found that the quality of the product is critical to the light weight it needs to hold. The instructions were very clear and not in converted English. Other reviews were critical of the cord, but I found the paracord more than satisfactory. The ceilings in our garage are 9ft 6in high, so my only problem was getting there. If you already know your way around, this setup has a 2 out of 5 for difficulty. You will need a joist finder to find the ceiling joists. Mine run parallel so I had to install the 2x4 cross bobs first and then install the bike lift. TIP: Run the paracord through the tail lift BEFORE installing it. It is almost impossible to pass the cable through the square hole after installation. I made that mistake the first time, it was easy the second time.
