The ax worked well until it broke with normal use. I contacted Fiskars for warranty support under their so called lifetime warranty and all they told me was to send in the broken handle and they would send me a new axe. The problem is that sending in a broken handle costs about the same as a new axe. So buyers should beware of this guarantee, it's pretty pointless. They didn't even offer to send me a prepaid label or anything. I was very disappointed. In addition, the tip of the ax broke off quite easily.
