Disappointing warranty

The ax worked well until it broke with normal use. I contacted Fiskars for warranty support under their so called lifetime warranty and all they told me was to send in the broken handle and they would send me a new axe. The problem is that sending in a broken handle costs about the same as a new axe. So buyers should beware of this guarantee, it's pretty pointless. They didn't even offer to send me a prepaid label or anything. I was very disappointed. In addition, the tip of the ax broke off…

Maybe it's me maybe not

I used it 1 time the plastic on the head broke and a 3lb ax head flew. I got it on Black Friday and used it for chopping wood a few days ago - well the purpose was chopping wood. But this pen burst like a banana. If I had paid full price for it I would have booked royally, but because it was 67% cheaper it booked 67% more. I gave 5 stars by weight. Distribution kit, that's before and after the head's departure. its simple headless autofocus. He got excited with his head on a sharp cleaver.YMMV

Perfect size amazing ax

So I'm a 5ft 1in female. I had no idea which hacker to buy. I've never had to chop wood. I bought the smaller 14 inch one thinking it wouldn't split my winter firewood. So I bought this. I was told it was too big for me. I used it anyway. Guess who can split a tree with two hits? This girl! (Not every two-hit track, but I'm working on it). I really LOVE going out and chopping wood now. Today I had my 7 year old grandson with a small ax and we both stayed there enjoying the fresh air and the…

Choose a splitter?

You may have noticed that the description of this product says it is recommended for "higher users". As you can see from the picture, it's only 2 inches longer than other regular tools in this class. I think what Fiskars is trying to say without offending anyone is that this product is for people strong enough to own it. longer and heavier than the 4 pound snap hammer pictured at right. It's also razor sharp, unlike the other two axes in the picture. , since they each have different techniques.

A great splitting ax, but a few tweaks make it perfect.

I have this ax and a Fiskars 8lb splitter. To be honest, if you're chopping any significant amount of wood, you'll need both. And if you use both, you'll see what's wrong with this axe. To be honest he's doing a fantastic job. It easily splits oak even with knots. Where it sucks is ergonomics and durability compared to an 8-pound sledgehammer. The hammer has a thick rubber/composite "protective grip" just below the head of the sledgehammer. This device does an excellent job of deflecting the…

If you're looking for the perfect cleaver, you've found it.

I never felt the need to write a product review like this. Revain should get a 6 star rating for such products. I did a lot of research and finally decided on this ax. The most critical reviews on YouTube were in favor of Fiskars. now i know why quick story. I have 3 splitters, a sledgehammer etc. Yesterday I killed myself with old axes when a huge oak tree fell due to very windy weather. I ordered a Fiskars ax not expecting much. However, the risk of $59 isn't great for me, and Revain does a…

Still need a sledgehammer for garden and lawn maintenance

The metal used for the ax is undoubtedly inferior metal. While splitting 18" pieces of brown oak, green ash, and rowan, I found a small chip on the ax blade. All of the above wood is metal free and I have a deck to split all of my wood so I didn't accidentally hit the ground on the swing. All the wood I split with the X27 was also metal free. Could they be a rock or something on a piece? but I have a cool 6.5 pound sledgehammer (made in the USA) and I know for a fact that I've chopped wood with
