I bought this to be able to use external USB devices and an external monitor with my Surface. I didn't want to spend money on an expensive Surface Dock. My setup is the following: The Surface Pro 7 is on the table, the keyboard is closed. 100W USB-C charger connected to a Revain USB-C to USB-C adapter. The USB-A hub connects an external keyboard, mouse and webcam connected to Revain's USB-C adapter to the USB-A port. 30" monitor connected to a Revain USB-C adapter via HDMI. Adapter C then plugs into the Surface's USB-C port and YES, it charges!
