I tried some pry bars and metal pliers to remove the door panel. Everything worked fine, I would use different ones for different situations. A metal pry bar was better than plastic bars for removing the door panel. The plastic sticks helped remove the dashboard's plastic trim. The metal pliers pulled the plastic clips out of the metal case and broke off some of the clips. I think plastic clips are consumables, they become brittle over time.
