Does not work on Aveo 2008!

Although a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo 1.6L is listed as an application, this tool is not suitable for cam locking. In truth, the timing belt can easily be replaced without it. The 2 camshafts have a recess that can be aligned with each other when the crankshaft rotates. You can take white paint and paint the cog on top of each camshaft and the cog at the 4 o'clock position of the crankshaft before removing the old belt. Then draw marks on the timing belt to match the painted teeth. After removing the toothed belt, you can transfer the markings from the old belt to the new belt. Before drawing marks on a new belt, make sure you count the number of grooves from mark to mark on the old belt and that the new belt has the same number of grooves between the color lines. Also, be sure to purchase a 41mm wrench to adjust the position of the water pump to properly set the new belt tension. With the right tool, you'll save yourself a string of 4-letter words. A wrench costs about the same as this tool kit, and you're better off saving money on a set and buying a wrench.
