As a retired senior electronics engineer, I own several other gauges with many great features. The only feature I was looking for was the DC clamp meter. This device also has higher accuracy than my other meters (6000 counts vs 4000 counts) and adds true RMS AC and temperature. The size and shape are very convenient for the clamp to penetrate in hard-to-reach places. The display can be difficult to read at times, but the backlight is decent. The problem is that the main function I was looking for is not reliable. DC current readings at terminals drift strongly with temperature. I can reset it with the zero button, but it can drift a few milliamps per second just from the warmth of my hand, and even faster when the sun hits it. I don't know yet if this is a design flaw or just a defective unit.
