Description of BSIDE DC Current Clamp Meter 6000 Counts: Digital Multimeter 🔌 Amp Continuity Ohm Hz, Live Check V-Alert Voltage Tester with Back Clip

[Ultra Steady & Accurate]: The new generation of our best-selling clamp meter ever - now more steady and accurate when test current, especially super low current. [0.1mA AC Resolution]: Delivers 0.1mA AC resolution and sensitivity. [1mA Resolution]: Delivers 1mA resolution and sensitivity, which make it a great a tool for measuring such as parasitic draws. [Dual Line Display]: Dual line display can show both AC voltage/current and frequency on the screen. [Probe Holder]: Side probe holder make measurement more convenient, especially for narrow or tight space environment.

The DC clamp on the meter worked as advertised.

Helped me track down a wiring issue in my RV. The DC clamp was sensitive and accurate. My RV has 2 sets of batteries and 3 chargers so it was much easier to find the direction of the current without disconnecting the wires.

BSIDE ACM91 on Tester

I needed an inductive DC ammeter for a project and decided to try the BSIDE ACM91. I'm glad I did this because it works very well and is accurate as far as I can tell. I've only used it for dc measurements and some dc voltage measurements, so my testing is limited. For the price I don't see anything better.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • When in doubt

Amazing feature set for the price!

As a retired senior electronics engineer, I own several other gauges with many great features. The only feature I was looking for was the DC clamp meter. This device also has higher accuracy than my other meters (6000 counts vs 4000 counts) and adds true RMS AC and temperature. The size and shape are very convenient for the clamp to penetrate in hard-to-reach places. The display can be difficult to read at times, but the backlight is decent. The problem is that the main function I was looking…

Works when it works (Update)

I originally purchased this meter in July 2020. It worked flawlessly until the end of October 2020, then it just wouldn't turn on. Good to know that the manufacturer sent me a replacement quickly even though it was longer than the usual return period. Needless to say, I was impressed. Unfortunately, the "new" counter doesn't read at all. As shown in the attached photo, the "cheap" multimeter reads the battery voltage at 12V DC while the ACM91 does not read at all. It also didn't read an AC…

Measure low DC current without breaking the circuit

These little clamp meters are good. Its sensitivity is high for both DC and AC measurements, and can read 1mA differences (this model, the ACM92, has an AC resolution of 0.1mA - I don't have the ability to measure that level yet). The accuracy might not be that great, but the resolution is there, so this is very useful for differential comparison of the same circuit. Please note that the Hall sensor for direct current measurement is dependent on the surrounding field due to its high…

Looks solid and well made, but don't expect to measure 10mA DC with a clamp.

I was hoping to use this meter to measure parasitic airflow in car batteries using only clamps. Previous reviews implied it could handle a few mA, but that's nonsense. The specifications for this mode (DC contactless measurement) are +/-3% +5 counts. Since the minimum range is 6 amps, this means the accuracy is +/- 180mA, +5 counts. This isn't enough to see how stray current draws a car battery (and let's not get into frequency response and intermittent current leakage). In fairness it is…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Almost never

Great 1mA DC Clamp Meter at a Great Price

This is a very worthy clamp meter for the DIY and hobbyist. Its accuracy exceeds my expectations for such an inexpensive measuring device. This cheap meter won't replace a professional meter like the Fluke, but for everyday use at home, does it really matter if the reading is 11.4V or 11.3V? What I like about this meter is its 1mA resolution. for DC amplifier measurements with clamp. For comparison, I also have an Extech 380942 clamp meter that I bought 17 years ago for about $400. Extech still
