Measure low DC current without breaking the circuit

These little clamp meters are good. Its sensitivity is high for both DC and AC measurements, and can read 1mA differences (this model, the ACM92, has an AC resolution of 0.1mA - I don't have the ability to measure that level yet). The accuracy might not be that great, but the resolution is there, so this is very useful for differential comparison of the same circuit. Please note that the Hall sensor for direct current measurement is dependent on the surrounding field due to its high sensitivity. Therefore, when measuring low DC current, the meter should be kept in a stable position/orientation for re-measuring and a quick reading after zeroing. Some drift occurs at low current levels, so it is difficult to measure accurately at this level. Other functions are available such as B. a general purpose multimeter but I bought it for clamp measurements so the other features are secondary and good to have if you don't have another meter locally. Unfortunately, this one doesn't have inrush current measurement, so I had to buy another current meter just for that function. At home.
