This is exactly as advertised and significantly better than the Fujitsu (which I also own). Robust construction. One drawback is the software, which is clearly not intended for English-speaking users. Both cloud software and local versions of Windows could use better localization. However, once you understand this, the scanner is the best of its kind for smoothing a scanned book. Outstanding speed. I loaded the resulting scans into FineReader OCR Pro and sometimes used ScanTailor depending on how good I want the end result to be. In any case, I can highly recommend it if you want to digitize a book in an acceptable quality in a short time. .
