Review on GIBBON Slacklines Tree Protectors by Eric Longoria

This tree shelter is a great idea. I just got a new slackline so I bought these tree guards too so I have 2 sets. I used to use really cheap mats that I bought before. Pros: Lightweight Velcro makes it easy to attach to trees. Cons: The velcro stitching was poor. One of my strips almost fell off and the other follows quickly. They can also be about 3 feet longer. I have a hard time finding trees small enough to fit around but big enough to put a sling on. Other comments: I don't know if they are thick enough to distribute line force enough to avoid damage to the tree. I've never left marks on the wood using them, but I'm wondering if they do anything other than prevent bark abrasion.
