These doorstops work well for my application as there is a large gap between the bottom of my doors and the floor. These stops are higher than most and my doors almost hit them on top. They work by tipping over when my doors are pushed against them (e.g. in a gust of wind) creating a strong wedge. These particular doors are heavy (outdoor patio doors) and can take quite a bit of wind when open, but the doorstops will hold tight hour after hour without slipping on the floor. Also note that one of the stoppers is on the PU coated wooden floor and the other is on our floor mat. Both hold up equally well; I am very satisfied with their work so far. However, in other uses I've tried them on, these doorstops don't stick at all. The rubber feels grippy, but it doesn't really seem to stick to our floor surfaces unless the gap is large enough to lift the wedge. For closely spaced doors, these stops simply slide on the floor, including carpet, freshly washed tile or wood. I don't know how the manufacturer managed to gain such a foothold in a video posted on a product page in which a swinging door misleads a competitor's product, but stopped there. I cannot reproduce this behavior at home.
