This thing does exactly what it says on the tin. voltage indicator. Outputting over 400 watts is fine. The fan turns on when it starts heating. It looks like a real high-performance instrument. When I first used it, it smelled like a heater and I was afraid I would burn it. Once the smell subsided I stopped panicking and realized this thing is capable of delivering 62 volts at 8 amps. It didn't even explode when I accidentally increased it to 9 for a minute. It comes with a spare potentiometer and even some crimp connections. Honestly, this thing does everything it claims to do. the fact that I thought it was fake before I could plug it in. I use it to charge a lithium ion battery pack so I have to be very careful with very small turns of the potentiometer as even a small turn can shift the voltage by 2 tenths of a volt resulting in a rapid current jump from 4 amps to 9 Amp.
