NOT GOOD PLEASE DO NOT BUY

The power supply is a great idea. The voltmeter on the front panel is OK. My biggest complaint is performance. This PSU drops to 45-50V, as per other reviews. Anything above that will flicker, but the fans will never turn on. Return to Meanwell. The pot has a lid on the front to enhance the look. but it just rubs against the body and feels terrible.

The maximum output power is less than 2 amps.

I like AC voltage from 0 to 60, it even goes up to 62 VDC. I would use a 10 volt potentiometer to adjust the voltage. That seemed too little for a 480 watt power supply, but okay. 40. So I don't think it will handle 8 amps and I will be sending it back.

Good but deceptive

Description says 110-220 VAC input and 0-60 VDC output. This product is worth the money if you understand that with a 110VAC output you will get a maximum of 44.5VDC. At 220 VAC you get a little over 60 VDC. I didn't measure current under high load. I bought this item to make my inexpensive lathe more powerful and handy. I would recommend this for many purposes but I would like the description to be changed.

Surprisingly accurate and versatile for the money

I used one of these to set up a small DIY desktop power supply. this is much better than my needs. I haven't tried more than 6A so can't speak to extreme limits but it was great and the voltage LED on the board is a great quality of life feature. a voltage bus (maybe 5V or 12V) so I can connect other devices (lights, displays, fans, etc.) that will work regardless of the voltage setting.

Don't waste your money

This is advertised as 0 to 60v at 8amps and I bought it because I need 48-55v at 5 amps or more. He put it through its paces, delivered a great 8A at 24V for several hours and worked perfectly. However, anything over 40V and the power supply will fall in your face. With no load it outputs 60V, but if you charge it from 0.5A to 1A the voltage drops to around 40V. Basically anything above 40V is useless, so this power supply comes back and becomes a regulated desktop unit 60V 5A replaces double…

This thing does exactly what it says on the tin. voltage indicator. Outputting over 400 watts is fine. The fan turns on when it starts heating. It looks like a real high-performance instrument. When I first used it, it smelled like a heater and I was afraid I would burn it. Once the smell subsided I stopped panicking and realized this thing is capable of delivering 62 volts at 8 amps.
