it works but once you connect what you need don't touch it at all. I plugged in a portable hard drive and every time I plugged in another USB stick or even touched/hit the device it "ejected" but wrongly and once it was during a backup so data was lost / were damaged. Now I only use this to charge/sync my iPhone and iPad and still have to be careful not to touch/hit it during syncing, but that's exactly what it works for. Bottom line, it works, but don't trust it too seriously if you plan on using/touching it frequently, or make sure you're 100% ejecting anything plugged in before touching it (which you really should not do, hence 3 stars )
