Unreliable for hubs

I really wanted this hub to work. For a video production environment, I needed one that could take some physical shock. Unfortunately I can't make the thing stable no matter what I do. I keep getting device disconnects, error messages, and all sorts of other issues. And it doesn't seem to matter what computer I connect it to, what USB version I use (3.1 or 3.2) or what type of cable (USB A or C). The devices don't stay connected long enough for me to do anything. For testing purposes, I used three Dell XPS laptops and a Microsoft Surface Pro. At Dell, I used both USB-C and USB-A to connect the hub. For client devices, I've tried about half a dozen different USB SSDs and flash drives with a variety of different cables, also connected via USB-A and USB-C (I've tried both) and a few USB Ethernet adapters were. USB sticks connected normally, but as soon as I started data transfer, I heard the USB disconnect sound in Windows, the devices disappeared for a few seconds to more than a minute, after which they normally reconnected. But not always. I've been working on this for hours. I've been able to successfully copy files from a USB SSD drive to the computer's internal SSD a few times, but I've never been able to copy files from one USB drive to another. A few seconds after the transfer started, one or both hard drives became disconnected. During those few seconds that it was working, I was able to transfer files to the internal drive at about 750MB/s, or about 300MB/s if I was just copying from flash. go to another. But I never managed to finish copying between USB drives - they always turned off. This behavior was consistent no matter what computer I connected to and no matter whether I used the included USB-A or USB-C cable. That's very disappointing. I really need a reliable industrial USB hub and this one turned out to be pretty unreliable.
