Well these reviews are slowly turning into a collection of old stories about your old gas cans! I'll join right away. ;-) I bought my round 2 1/2 gallon can of Eagle gas in 1980 or so. We have just moved and I remember it being one of my first purchases after moving into this farmhouse. Anyway, that's what I used for my chainsaw fuel mix back then. This round glass cannot be knocked over! I've thrown it in the bed of a pickup truck or trailer and never had to worry about it spilling. What a great product! Well, after 40 years the inlet hose is leaking. It had a small tear right in the lid and it started dripping. I ordered this replacement part and I'm back in business. The fill connector is about 1 1/2 inches and the inside diameter of the metal part that holds the rubber hose and screws to the can is about 1 7/16 inches. This part fits perfectly into the metal cap with a hole and acts as a seal when screwed on. Used it today, not a drop came out.
