PERFECT REPLACEMENT

I was going to throw away my pretty good "International Harvester" gas bottle because the rubber spout broke, tried different spouts, none fitted until yours. Quite happy and satisfied with the quality, like the original

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Fits but doesn't fit perfectly

I'm sure it would be difficult for a manufacturer to come up with a really versatile gas cylinder spout and this one fits almost perfectly but had to cut a slightly larger plastic gasket out of some materials to make it quite tight be so that it does not leak. Now everything works fine.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • A lot

What is that, an ant beak!?

This thing is tiny. I bought this to replace the nato glass spout but it is so small it wouldn't even fit in my tiny 1 gallon jar. On the other hand, it's a rubberized material so no padding is needed. That's at least a plus. If your gas cartridge is tiny.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Does not fit on the Eagle can. Causes leaks.

I have a 2.5 gallon Eagle jerry can and it just doesn't fit. The gasket is 1/8" smaller than the OEM gasket which means it will get stuck in the bottle opening and gas will escape. Clearance between the edge of the gasket and the top of the screw.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Problem

Does not seal, requires a gasket to stop gas leaks

It would get 5 stars if it included a gasket to ensure a good seal. Order seals from Orandesigne in advance to avoid leaks. I bought this for a 5 gallon plastic can which I have owned since the mid 80's. The yellow plastic spout has broken in half with age. Good quality spout but will not close without a seal.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Protection

Best fits 1Β½ " diameter caps in fuel transfer and lubrication only

ONLY fits 1Β½" diameter caps. NOT suitable for 1ΒΎ" caps. I suspect that's why there are multiple 1* reviews. Read the fine print. It may be possible to fit an o-ring or washer to allow large caps to work leak-free. Spout shines on smaller caps working fine too bad they didn't come with a washer to fit the larger caps or sold a spout to fit larger caps took off a star because the description could be clearer.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Ideal for transferring fuel and lube

Well these reviews are slowly turning into a collection of old stories about your old gas cans! I'll join right away. ;-) I bought my round 2 1/2 gallon can of Eagle gas in 1980 or so. We have just moved and I remember it being one of my first purchases after moving into this farmhouse. Anyway, that's what I used for my chainsaw fuel mix back then. This round glass cannot be knocked over! I've thrown it in the bed of a pickup truck or trailer and never had to worry about it spilling. What a…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Negligible repairability
