We received our espresso machine as a wedding present over a couple of years ago. It's been pressurized lately and the espresso wasn't pouring out as usual, causing a huge mess when trying to remove the handle holding the espresso. We wiped the area down with a damp paper towel, thinking the floor was stuck, but to no avail. After reading the manual, I realized we needed a descaling solution. I guess I'm not very good at any of these things so I figured we could wash it with water. nope It was an expensive car so we made that decision and got it right. Followed all the instructions and our coffee machine worked as usual again. You only need to descale every 200 cups of espresso. And you use 1/5 bottle each time. This will most likely last the life of the machine if not 1 more bottle of descaling solution. I would highly recommend this great value product for the long lasting quality of my espresso machine.
