I used to only ride Bones or Spitfire wheels. However, I needed a reasonably priced set of wheels to fit a setup I'm leaving when visiting family out of state. I ended up looking for a set of wheels with a durometer of 99+ in the 54-56mm range. The bikes arrived well packaged and exactly as pictured. On closer inspection, no defects or irregularities were apparent. When I installed them on my board they worked very well. Can't say for sure if these are 101a (or 102a as advertised) as I haven't been able to test them, but they've held up well. After a few days of use, there are no more flat spots and they stick very well to smooth concrete and masonry. Having only had one set of these wheels I can definitely recommend them based on my experience. My biggest problem with any budget product is always quality control. I've had cheap bearings that have held up just as well as Bones Swiss, but I've also had instances where they failed right away. There are no moving parts on the wheels, but that doesn't mean they're always well sharpened or have adequate hardness.
