I used to have the same box with a key lock. The problem is that you still need to store the key somewhere else so you can get the key to access other secure keys. You obviously see a problem in it, very uncomfortable. Then the hidden key got lost somewhere (wife I'm sure has something to do with it, but married people know some things are just overlooked to maintain a happy marriage. LOL). The lock on the old box is not difficult, it is easy to bypass. I was going to buy a new box and saw that. Same with the combined style. All problems with an order solved. The box mounts easily using the same holes as the previous cabinet as they were the same size and I love that a bag of key rings was included with this order as well as numbered stickers if you wish to number the key hooks. Great product, great price, I am very happy with my purchase.
