I had this lock on a closed trailer for about 2 months then wanted to unlock it and the key just clicked into place. I tried EVERYTHING to get the end of the key out and couldn't get it out. That day I needed my trailer. So I had to tap the top metal piece until I got it off the clutch. A blow to it caused the ball of the lock to shatter. First of all, I think that the design is not protected against theft. If I could remove the lock in a few minutes, anyone who wanted to steal my trailer could do it. Also, the button design is terrible. I was very careful with the key and it just broke. Then I couldn't get it out because of the keyhole design. There are two sliding/moving parts, so you need to line up the hole perfectly to insert the key. This causes pain when pulling out the stuck part. I am very dissatisfied and dissatisfied with the purchase of this item.
