I bought this for my cat because we were going on an overland trip and I wanted my cat to be safe. I measured my cat and bought a specific size and it was actually too small for my cat and was a very tight fit! Well, it wasn't good at all, because in a hotel in New Mexico, a cat tied to the table knocked on my door and started, and the cat got out of its harness and hid under the bed between the beds and the wall and it took me about an hour to get there because everything was sealed under the bed! I'm so lucky he didn't run out the hotel door or I would have lost my cat in New Mexico forever! So that kind of color on my cat was a disaster! It took him a second to free himself and again I say he was very tense. I'm not saying this is a bad collar, but it might not be a good idea for a fast, slippery cat.
