Review on 5-Inch Universal Hook and Loop Orbital Sander Pad for Popular Brands – Ryobi, Milwaukee, Craftsman ROS by Luis Adu

This baseplate/backup pad is an exact replica of the OEM baseplate/backup pad on my vintage RO100 orbital sander. This isn't the part number that B&D lists for this grinder, but I took a gamble that it should be close. Well, that's clearly a suitable replacement part. It includes 4 screw holes, NO alignment holes and 8 ventilation holes. It fit but I had to drill 4 small holes for the dowel pins. It's ok, just stick a wide piece of clear plastic tape centered on the underside of the factory plate, punch 4 screw holes with a Phillips screwdriver, punch 4 plugs with a pen as they are smaller in diameter, transfer the tape to align the new plate with the screw holes, then use a small 1/8" drill bit and drill a shallow hole in the fiberglass panel. buying old tools and new ones, when looking for replacement parts for an old RO100 grinder you may find that this pad is a suitable replacement Unfortunately it doesn't include grinding discs like other vendors/suppliers but it shouldn't be a deal- Killer. Buy it! I can't comment on the reliability or durability because I just bought it. I'll try to comment on it later.
