Okay. We got these knives as a kind of fluke. My husband earned rewards points and we bought that with them. I work in staff catering and knives are very important. Having used mediocre knives, I just never wanted to spend hundreds to buy a really expensive set. When this set arrived I was very surprised by a few things. First, the knives are huge. When I read 9 inches I thought the whole knife was 9 inches. (In my own ignorance I guess). 9 inch blade only. They are made of stainless steel and are therefore very durable. And that's great, although if you hack a few hours a day they tend to get heavy. They are incredibly sharp and I know I'll probably never have to buy another set of knives again. They're high quality and great knives, I just don't know if I would recommend them to people who aren't big fans of the kitchen. Although these people probably aren't spending $300 on knives anyway, or reading this review! So if you are reading this. Go and get her. They are beautiful, even if they take some getting used to.
