I splurged on a Niva-3D with the intention of dividing my riding time evenly between the street and the dirt. The Niva's tires are quiet enough for daily driving; in other automobiles, tire noise might be audible, but not in the Niva. On asphalt, the handling is fine, but I was more interested in exploring the back roads. Jeeps and pokatushki were my means of accomplishing this. This meant that I was only ever stuck once, and that was because I had leaped over the frozen track, at which point the rubber no longer adhered to the icy parapet. Excellent performance in the muck, the water, the fields, the ruts, and the pits. I rode my bike past the spot where so many Patriots perished. Buying is something I advise strongly.
