I ordered this because I need a USB-C hub with ethernet that works with Google Chromecast with TV. While everything is switched on (Ethernet and USB), the speed test only showed downloads and uploads at 96 Mbit/s, which means that no gigabit ethernet adapter is used. I have another brand that I also ordered that shows a download speed of 390Mbps. I tried using both the power adapter that came with the Google Chromecast and the 65W power adapter and the results were the same. If you only need it for USB ports and HDMI then this will work, but if you're looking for a faster 1GB connection then look elsewhere.
