It's not entirely clear why we have to rate "warmth" because these aren't mittens for outdoor activities! I've replaced some of the standard quilted cotton pot holders with these. My husband and I both noticed that we could feel the warmth through our existing mittens. These new mittens will definitely better protect our hands from hot pots/pans/dishes etc. Also, the "doll" design is better than the standard glove design. The grip is better and it works well for different hand sizes. So I recommend these. The only thing I would change would be to make them a little longer.
