Review on APC P7GT Power Saving Discontinued Manufacturer by Chris Fisher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ideal for accessories and supplies

I am very satisfied with these two that I recently bought. The price was great and so far both work as advertised. I previously bought another brand and it broke after about five minutes so I returned it. Note: P7GT 7 is only recommended for computers and related devices. The instructions say that TVs vary too much in power consumption. However, I used one for my computer system; the other is connected to my panasonic plasma tv as the main control and the rest to various home theater components and it works fine. I've used "always on" jacks for my cable box and phone modem that you don't want to turn off, and "controlled" jacks for my subwoofer, BluRay amp and some other small components (with an extension cord) such as a Wireless headphone transmitter and a couple of cabinets. The control outputs turn on and off when the TV turns on and off as they should, while the rest retain power. I can't say how it behaves with an LCD TV, but it wasn't a problem with my plasma. Obviously they are no longer made so you can buy them before they run out.
