Tissue paper is thin. I'm far away in the village and live at the crossroads of two dirt roads. Dust and cats are two of the reasons I buy cases. I can literally see through it with no issues so don't expect it to last long due to cats and other animals. Also, this case is so thin that I don't think it even protects against dust, let alone cats climbing on it. This is my third lid I've bought in the last six months. One for a refurbished Nova 69, one for a rebuilt Mustang 66 and this one for a Cadillac ElDorado 96. The first two covers are from a different dealer and are cheaper but much better quality. Totally happy with them. I usually do thorough research, but this time I just looked at a few good reviews. Car covers, as I understand it, are all pretty generic. I was just lazy and complacent and taught the old dog a lesson.
