Installed on a 2006 Silverado. Installation was pretty easy. Remove the cover covering the three screws for the mirror. Remove the door panel by removing the latch mechanism from the door panel by prying it out with a screwdriver, unscrewing the screw behind the latch mechanism, removing the latch cover on the back of the door and closing the torx screw, remove the bracket on the front of the door, loosen the screw on the front of the armrest, lift up and remove the door panel. The problem for me is that the mirrors have to be aligned a lot inward towards the truck, resulting in a large gap between the mirror and the body. It's not a feature issue, but it does look a bit silly.
